As an example we were asked to solve a problem where the existing Perth Airport Terminal 3 had to be split so Qantas could use the space to receive International as well as domestic travellers. There was limited head height, ducting issues that could not be relocated, as well as an 11metre span to bridge.
Doors such as this require extra thought and this is were where Rubek excels. We always build in yet more
strength to make sure heavy doors stand the test of time, keep maintenance
costs to a minimum and are still safe and complant to the NCC and relevant Standards. In the example above the operator is hung from specially made 'A' frames fixed to concrete. We used additional
door hanger brackets with tie rods through the door to keep the door framing
straight and supported from the effects of racking, extra running wheels to
spread the load, and our powerful 450w motor. This operator will last as long
as the terminal it's installed in with minimal maintenance and that's our aim with every installation.

The Rubek Structural operatot can span up to 4.5M using this method with standard doors. Rubek is the only company that can do this. This is vey useful when standard bulkhead or framing is not available or practical. Sometimes it may just be asthetically better to simply end mount. Talk to us to confirm specific details. |
